Not your average beauty salon.

Fika Beauty Studio was born at the height of the pandemic. Their mission? To create a brand that was unlike any other in the beauty industry. One that put self-care and self-love above all else, while being sustainable in every aspect of their business.

Our mission was to create their identity from scratch. We set out to give two experienced industry professionals a platform to start their own salon and sell their own products. Now, just two years later, they’ve done that and so much more.

Create a community of believers, the #FikaFam.

It all starts with loyal customers. We leveraged existing clientele to create a community of like-minded individuals who believed in Fika’s mission. Through social media, email marketing, video content, and digital ads, more and more people started to tune in to what Fika had to say.

A personality glow up.

Voice and tone were essential for building the Fika brand. We centered on a kind, caring, and passionate personality that was both professional and approachable.

We created Fika a custom brand book so that everyone working with the brand, both now and in the future, would know how to talk the “Fika” way.

A head-to-toe makeover.

Once voice and tone were set, we moved on to Fika’s appearance. We redid their website with new banners, font, and layouts; chose colour palettes; defined social media appearance; and created their iconography.

We also set standard for how their logos should be used (i.e. colour combos, size, backgrounds) and took product shots for their website and ads.

Restyling their products.

As Fika’s business grew, so did their product catalogue. With each new product and packaging design, we were challenged to communicate Fika’s characteristic sustainably, quality, and elegance.

We redesigned five products with new boxes, labels, and containers, all within manufacturer specified dimensions. We also created holiday-themed versions of product packaging for seasonal promotions.

The outcome.

For two years, Fika has been steadily growing and building their #FikaFam following. With a brand identity that resonates with audiences and multiple digital channels to reach them, Fika was able to add plenty of products and services to their original catalogue.

To this day, we are proud to be a part of every exciting new venture that Fika takes on. Personally, we can’t wait to see what’s next.
